Price Cut for All Wireless Shutter Releases

It seems we're unable to stop the good news today: another price cut to announce, this time for the
ALZO Wireless Shutter Releases that extends to all models, including Canon, Nikon, Kodak, Fuji & Sony.

The new price is $39.83.

Shipping Fees Adjusted for Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. Protectorates

As of February 8, 2010, ALZO has adjusted its postage/shipping fees for Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, the U.S. Protectorates incl. American Samoa, Guam, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands (U.S.).

The changes are based on the new U.S. Postal Service rates for priority mail and result in a decrease in prices.

ALZO 5-Chamber Hard Case Discontinued

We no longer carry the ALZO 5-Chamber Hard Case that was part of the ALZO Video Studio I Location Kit. It has been replaced with the ALZO Heavy-Duty Storage Travel Case and the ALZO 48" Padded Soft Case. The two cases combined are a much less expensive solution, lowering the price of the Studio I Location Kit.

45W Full Spectrum Light Bulbs with 5600K Available on Web Site

The ALZO 45W 5600K color temperature Full Spectrum Light Bulb is also available on our web site. When used as a household lamp to alleviate S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder) or Winter Blues, it is an equivalent replacement of the 45W 5500K bulb, with which we are currently out of stock.

45W CFL Light Bulbs 5500K Out of Stock

We are currently out of stock with the ALZO 45W CFL Light Bulbs at 5500K color tem perature, both Photo and Full Spectrum bulbs, due to an increasing demand. The next large shipment of these bulbs is underway, and we will notify you here once they are back in stock. 45W bulbs at 5600K color temperature are available.

New Full Spectrum Light Bulb

We have just added a new Full Spectrum 45W CFL Light Bulb to our selection, available on Amazon. The color temperature is 5600K, slightly higher than the 5500K model. Both the 5500K & the 5600K are daylight balanced, i.e., they emulate daylight, and are ideal for treatment of S.A.D. or Winter Blues. The difference in color temperature of 100K is not significant if used as a household lamp to help alleviate S.A.D., but if used as a photography light bulb, you want to make sure to chose the one that matches your other lights. The 45W 5600K Full Spectrum Light Bulbs are available in a pack of 4 on Amazon. Note: these are large bulbs and they might not fit your standard household lamp; you will need a larger harp to accommodate the bulb and to hold the lamp shade. For bulb dimensions, see diagram. ALZO will offer large harps for the 45W light bulb soon, and it will be announced on this blog.
